NOTE: The instructions pertain to versions 9.10, 10.04, and 12.10 (partially).
- Click on the 'Network Connection' icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Choose the option to 'Connect to Hidden Wireless Network'.
- Enter 'PAL3.0' into the 'Network Name' field (there is no space between PAL and the number).
- For 'Wireless Security', choose 'WPA & WPA2 Enterprise'.
- For 'Authentication', choose 'Protected EAP (PEAP)'.
- The 'Anonymous Identity' field should remain blank.
- In the 'CA certificate' field, click the drop-down menu to open a search window.
- In the search window that appears, navigate to File System/etc/ssl/, and choose 'AddTrust_External_CA_Root.pem' or 'AddTrust_External_Root.pem' for Ubuntu 12.10.
- Click 'Open'.
- For 'PEAP' version, choose 'Version 0'.
- For 'Inner authentication', choose 'MSCHAPv2'.
- Provide your Purdue career account username and password in the respective fields.
- Click 'Connect'.
The network connection icon will show that you are connected to the PAL 3.0 network.
